About Me
I am Mehul Vora — an Indian author, research scholar, speaker, astrologer, and interpreter of Ancient Indian Knowledge Systems, dedicated to exploring the deeper dimensions of spirituality, Tantra, consciousness, and sacred sound. My work is rooted in a simple yet profound intention: to make complex spiritual and philosophical concepts accessible without stripping them of their depth, sanctity, or intellectual rigor.
Over the years, I have immersed myself in the study of ancient scriptures, esoteric traditions, mythology, mantra-śāstra, Tantra, philosophy, and comparative spiritual systems. My journey began not as a pursuit of trends or mysticism for entertainment, but from an intense curiosity to understand the symbolic, psychological, and metaphysical foundations hidden within ancient traditions. This passion eventually evolved into years of dedicated research, translation, interpretation, and writing. I have studied and explored a wide range of classical sources including the Bhagavad Gītā, Viveka Chūḍāmaṇi, Ātma Bodha, Tantra Śāstras, Purāṇas, and numerous lesser-known esoteric texts in an effort to bridge ancient wisdom with modern understanding.
My first major work, Secret Goddesses of Tantra, emerged from a four-year research journey into the philosophy and symbolism of the Daśa Mahāvidyās. At a time when authentic resources on Tantra were scarce and often oversimplified, I sought to present a more nuanced and philosophical understanding of these powerful Goddess traditions. The book explored not only their mythology and symbolism, but also their psychological, spiritual, and cultural significance. It examined how the Mahāvidyās challenge societal norms, transcend rigid dualities, and represent profound dimensions of consciousness and liberation. The work was recognized for offering fresh insight into areas of Tantra that are rarely discussed in mainstream literature.
My writings consistently attempt to challenge misconceptions surrounding Tantra and spirituality. I strongly believe that Tantra is one of the most misunderstood spiritual systems in the world. Contrary to sensationalized portrayals, Tantra is not merely ritualism, taboo practices, or occultism; it is fundamentally a path of expansion, transformation, and liberation. It is a way of life that seeks to transcend limitations by transforming consciousness itself.
This commitment to restoring depth and authenticity to spiritual discourse continued in my work Decoding Mantras: The Art, Science and Technique. In an era where sacred practices are increasingly reduced to viral content, shortcuts, and superficial affirmations, the book attempts to re-establish mantras as a disciplined science of sound rather than a casual self-help trend. It explores the philosophical, energetic, linguistic, and scientific dimensions of mantra practice while emphasizing the importance of precision, initiation, context, and inner transformation.
The central premise of the book is that mantras are not ordinary words but structured sound technologies rooted in Śabda-Brahman — the principle of divine sound consciousness. Drawing from both traditional knowledge systems and contemporary scientific perspectives, the work examines how sound, vibration, rhythm, intention, and consciousness interact within the human system. It discusses practices such as japa, nyāsa, dīkṣā, mantra-śakti, purification, and sādhana while also exploring correlations with neuroscience, psychology, resonance, and vibrational studies.
A significant part of my work revolves around reviving respect for traditional systems that have often been diluted through commercialization or fragmented understanding. I believe spirituality should not become an escape from reality, nor should sacred traditions be reduced to motivational slogans. True spiritual practice requires discipline, inquiry, sincerity, humility, and inner transformation. My approach therefore seeks to combine intellectual depth with practical relevance, encouraging individuals to engage with ancient wisdom responsibly and meaningfully.
Apart from writing, I actively speak and teach on subjects related to spirituality, mythology, Tantra, mantra-śāstra, consciousness studies, symbolism, and ancient Indian culture. My work often explores the intersection between philosophy, psychology, ritual, sacred symbolism, and human transformation. Through lectures, media appearances, articles, workshops, and educational content, I aim to present spirituality not as blind belief, but as a sophisticated system of inner science developed through centuries of observation and experience.
I am also the co-founder of MystikMonk alongside Swati Aggarwal. MystikMonk was created with the vision of making spiritual guidance, traditional healing modalities, and esoteric knowledge more accessible to modern seekers while maintaining authenticity and integrity. The platform has been recognized as one of the “Most Promising Spiritual Brands” and offers education and guidance in multiple spiritual disciplines.
My work has been featured across various publications and platforms, and I have been recognized among notable contemporary voices exploring spirituality and ancient wisdom traditions. However, beyond recognition or titles, my deeper purpose remains unchanged: to encourage people to look beyond superficial spirituality and rediscover the profound intellectual, symbolic, and transformative wisdom embedded within ancient traditions.
At its core, my journey is one of continuous exploration — studying the hidden dimensions of consciousness, sacred sound, mythology, symbolism, and the timeless philosophies that have shaped human civilization for centuries. Through my books, lectures, writings, and research, I hope to contribute toward preserving and reinterpreting these traditions for a modern world that increasingly seeks meaning, depth, and inner clarity amidst noise and distraction.
